In 1997, world-champion chess player Kasparov lost to chess computer Deep Blue. It was the first time in history that this had taken place on such a level. Using this legendary dual as a basis, Dejo and Jaf’r have created a work of art consisting of 64 canvasses which represent the underlying theme: the contrast between man and machine. The diagram of the situation between the sixteenth and seventeenth set of the sixth match has been depicted.

Tussen 17 en 18
In 1997 heeft wereldkampioen schaken Kasparov verloren van de schaakcomputer Deep Blue. Dit was de eerste maal in de geschiedenis dat dit op dit niveau gebeurde. Op basis van deze legendarische tweekamp hebben Dejo en Jaf’r een kunstwerk gemaakt bestaande uit 64 schilderijen met als onderliggend thema de tegenstelling tussen mens en machine. Verbeeld wordt het diagram van de situatie tussen de zeventiende en de achttiende zet van de zesde partij.
