Tic Tac Toe (US) or Noughts and Crosses (UK), is probably one of the first strategic games that some of us ever played. If you know what you are doing: you cannot lose. If your opponent knows what you are doing: you cannot win. When the optimum strategy is employed: every game results in a draw. The Tic Tac Toe of Toyism is not just about winning - it also involves the creation of a new composition. This composition comprises 9 paintings: the 10th painting is variable (not depicted). Both players or observers arrange the pictures and in doing so, continually create different compositions. This actively involves the observer in the composition and final result.
Boter, kaas en eieren is hoogstwaarschijnlijk een van de eerste strategische spelen dat door sommigen van ons is gespeeld. Als je weet wat je doet, kun je niet verliezen. Als je tegenstander weet wat jij doet, kun je niet winnen. Bij een optimale strategie zal ieder spel uitmonden in een gelijkspel. In de toyistische Boter, Kaas en Eieren draait het niet alleen om winnen, maar ook om het creëren van een nieuwe kompositie. Deze kompositie is opgebouwd uit 9 afbeeldingen, de 10de afbeelding wisselt (niet afgebeeld). Beide spelers, cq beschouwers arrangeren de afbeeldingen waardoor steeds weer andere komposities ontstaan. Hierdoor wordt de beschouwer actief betrokken bij de uitvoering en het uiteindelijke resultaat.
