Be yourself is the metaphor of men that usually acts like sheep’s, not thinking with their own heads, following blindly the rules others have imposed them and to whom they don’t have the courage to stand against because of fear, prejudices, invisible ties etc. Even if we are forced to certain social behaviours because society imposes them, in good or evil, we should know why we act that way (because it is right or wrong) and being conscious of our daily actions. So, maybe the story is just to be conscious of our actions and choices and not because everybody else’s acts that way…

Jezelf zijn is een beeld van mannen die zoals gewoonlijk handelen als dat van een schaap, niet denkend met het hoofd, maar blind de regels volgen die anderen hen hebben opgelegd en naar wie zij niet de moed hebben om op te komen tegen angst, vooroordelen, onzichtbare banden enz. Zelfs wanneer wij naar een zeker sociaal gedrag worden gedwongen omdat de maatschappij dat aan ons oplegt, in goed of kwaad, wij zouden moeten weten waarom we op deze manier handelen (omdat het goed of verkeerd is) en bewust worden van onze dagelijkse acties. Zo, misschien is het verhaal slechts het bewustzijn van onze acties en keuzes en niet omdat iedereen anders handelt…
